Building trust through innovation and governance reform.

The name B_Trust was chosen to reflect our main mission, which is to build trust in the community, because trust is an important element for achieving many important economic and social outcomes. The trust that we want to build includes public trust in institutions, trust between institutions, and trust among the public.

B_Trust was founded at the beginning of the post-reform era in Indonesia in 2001. This period began as an era of distrust of institutions which resulted in a decline in public involvement in the public sphere. On the other hand, government institutions were also surprised by the huge changes caused by sudden decentralization. Rebuilding public trust in government institutions requires efforts to change and reform existing institutions to be responsive and trustworthy.

A group of activists and experts have the joint power to create a new collaborative model in which non-governmental and governmental actors work together to overcome various public challenges from the new era together. As such, B_Trust was established as an advisory group that promoted pro-social idealism and professional competence.

We are proud to be able to create an impact with public sector clients throughout Indonesia through various efforts in improving public services, improving government performance, and improving regional development. We continue to work with visionary leaders and leaders in government to reform the public sector by utilizing innovation, participation and good governance.
